A Silver Trophy Cigarette Case for Horse Jumping

Smooth finished silver case, rounded edges, blue sapphire stone push button closure. Blue enamelled decorative crest of a Count with three vertical stripes. Inside stamped with Austrian silver 900 mark for Vienna post 1872 (Diana head, hexagonal lozenge with "2" and "A", used between 1867 - 1922), silversmith hallmark "JU", "1971" and "4". Dimensions circa 90 x 85 mm. Case of issue constructed of heavy cardboard stock covered with blue leatherette (minor scuffing), decorated with gilded border and title "Preisspringen 1912". Cream velvet recessed tray and padded silk inner lid (minor staining). Dimensions circa 115 x 110 mm.
